It's really quite simple even for an absolute beginner.

We're starting you in waves with a water start at the slipway. Swim towards the steps and the first orange buoy, pass it on the left and head for the island and the 2nd orange buoy. Having reached there swim around it keeping the buoy on your right shoulder and start the swim back to the slipway. If the sun is setting it's difficult to make out where you're meant to head for, but believe me, a wet and gray evening is far less enjoyable. Just keep sighting - a must in open water swimming. When you exit the water give your swim number to Kevin, the steward waiting for you. And give everybody else your best smile - you've done it !
